Cleaning – less is more.
Our cleaning tips:
The original Naturofloor flooring is triple-sealed and extremely easy to care for. Weekly maintenance cleaning can be done simply by dry vacuuming with a high-quality microfiber cloth.Cleaning floors and walls with clear water, a mild cleaning agent, and a high-quality microfiber or cotton cloth is sufficient.
Cleaning products
The FLOOR and BATH cleaners developed for Naturofloor contain effective microorganisms and provide lasting cleanliness. They are gentle and have a long-lasting cleaning effect. All our products are vegan, probiotic, and Swiss-made, making them ideal for allergy sufferers while also protecting the environment.
Standard bathroom cleaners or descaling agents can be used diluted (ratio 1:10). Strongly alkaline, corrosive, solvent- or alcohol-based agents should be avoided completely when cleaning Naturofloor surfaces.
Cleaning with a steam cleaner
The flooring can also be cleaned with a steam cleaner for a thorough clean, but only with indirect steam, as these devices also have a microfiber attachment. Please note that prolonged exposure to steam in certain areas can cause the varnish to soften.

Good to know:
Liquids
Although Naturofloor does not allow liquids to penetrate, prolonged moisture should be avoided as it can soften the sealant and cause staining. It is best to place food bowls and flower pots on a slightly raised surface so that air can circulate. Hair dye, coffee, curry, saffron, oil, etc. can attack and discolor the sealant if left on for a long time.
Wet rooms
To prevent limescale on the surface, it is best to rinse the floor briefly with cold water after showering. This process reduces limescale residue and effectively removes shampoo/shower gel. It is best to use a shower squeegee to remove water from the walls. We recommend that you do not leave the squeegee wet on the floor, as it contains plasticizers that could soften the sealant. When purchasing a squeegee, make sure that it does not have any sharp edges to avoid damaging the floor if it is dropped.
Protective glides
Attaching protective glides (e.g., made of felt) to chairs, tables, bar stools, sofas, armchairs, vases, or other decorative items protects the floor. Rubber casters are suitable for office chairs.
Carpet
If a carpet or bath mat is laid on Naturofloor flooring with underfloor heating, make sure that the underside of the carpet is not rubberized, that the slip resistance is suitable for underfloor heating, and that no moisture is trapped under the carpet. Allow the floor to dry thoroughly after cleaning before laying the carpet back down.
Repair & Refresh
In case of damage
Most damage, including damage caused by heavy impact, heat or chemicals, can usually be repaired on site. This restores the surface to its original, smooth and hygienic finish. Contact your local Naturofloor certified specialist for professional adjustments.
You can also have your Naturofloor flooring refreshed after a few years. To do this,the walls and floors are lightly sanded and resealed.
